The band was established by guitarist Enrikas Slavinskis and vocalist Jeronimas Milius in  august of 2003 year.  From the beginning  of their foundation heavy metal band “Soul Stealer” (at that time “Soul Brothers” ) had played in few contests and biggest lithuanian festivals such as: “Naujas Kraujas 2005“, „Durys 2005“, open-air  „Roko naktys 2005“, festival “Helloween 2005”, open-air  „Roko naktys 2006“, “Burning Steel festival 2006”, “Krikšto skonis 2006”, open-air  „Kilkim žaibu VII“, open-air „Roko naktys 2009“. In 2005 year the band  took part in competition “Brodvėjus Star 2005” and won the second place, in 2006 they took part in competition “EuroRock 2006“ and won the third place which included the participation  in festival “Fiesta Borealis”, in Poland. The band also gigs across smaller clubs of Lithuania.

 

 In 2007 year “Soul Stealer” suspended  their  concert activity  and in 2008 they have returned with the new title and contract with the record label ”Ledo takas” . The Lithuanian heavy metal band issued their debut self-titled album “Soul Stealer” in 2008 spring.

 

In 2008 autumn the band played in Poland again, this time in city Gdansk. In the beginning of 2009 “Soul Stealer” performed with the legendary russian heavy metal band “ARIA” in Lithuania capital Vilnius.

 

In March of 2010 “Soul Stealer” has won the national finals of “Wacken Metal Battle”.

 

In May of 2010, in Vilnius, “Soul Stealer” shares the stage with legendary heavy metal band “ACCEPT”.

 

In the end of June of 2010, the record label “Ledo takas” releases “Feel the Steal” - the second “Soul Stealer” album, recorded in Latvia, “Pheonix studio”.

 

In August of 2010 “Soul Stealer” performed in one of the worlds’ biggest metal music open airs  “Wacken Open Air 2010”.

 

In August of 2011 the band giged in “Roko naktys/Galapagai 2011”, the biggest rock music opena-air in Lithuania.

 

Šarūnas Venckus:

I was born in Lithuania at 1981. 6 years old I started play piano. But 6 years later found out, that piano isn‘t my instrument. So there started my through instruments (guitar, bass guitar, few woodwinds).

 

And finally I found drums! So I was 14 yeas old when I first tried to learn drumming myself. Soon I found out that without drum teacher wouldn’t get any results, so I found a good teacher. My first band “Menhyr” was influenced noregian black metal wave. So I joined group at 1997. So 6 month later we recorded studio album. 1998 I’ve joined band “Ugnelakis” (black/trash/death/pagan metal). We worked hard and in period of 2 years “Ugnelakis” become one of leading underground bands in Lithuania.

 

Since 1998 I started my studies in conservatory of Vilnius, I learned jazz, latin, pop drumming. And that was the time, when I started to work as independent drummer. 2001 I’ve created my own percussion project “Griausmo Viešpaciai”. Since year 2000 there was lot of changes: for few years I‘ve played with „Mandragora“, „Desmod“, „Creeptor“, „Crossroad“, „Soul Brothers“, „project-S“, „Fata Morgana“, “SBS” and other artists as session drummer.  Since 2007 I play with “Soul Stealer”.

 

My latest works as independent/session drummer is: few studio singles with – “Dzeen”, “IDT”, “Boo”, “Sportas”, “Creeptor”, “SBS”; album with „Gotheanum“, “SBS” - The gambler, and “Soul Stealer” – Feel the steal.

 

Kęstutis Žigė: 

Musical activity began around 1998. At that time I played in band "Crossroad". Later, I logged on to playing black metal band „Arthornia“. Since 2003 Im playing with the band "Soul Brothers", which in 2008 changed its name to "Soul Stealer". In addition to these bands I have played several concerts with other bands.
Musical styles: melodic death, power / heavy, progressive metal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enrikas Slavinskis:

 

In the beginning: a long time ago, when I was little and furious child, i was interested in wind music instruments. Around 1994 I have begun playing the clarinet. When this instrument got bored i have  started to blow the saxophone (tenor). The orchestra Vilnius was the one i was playing at.

   My father was partial to the good old rock so in fact of this, in my infancy i was "forced" to listen to the groups such as AC / DC, Queen, Smoke, DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN, BOSTON, Nazareth, Pink Floyd, etc. Later i‘ve got acquainted to the basic off playing the guitar. So, that was the way, i‘ve interested the guitar. Around 1997 we organised the first punk / rock group, and called it The Loosers. We had several local shows. For unknown reasons, the group disbanded. I couldn‘t not to play, so around 1999 after meeting Kestutis, we brought together a group called Crossroad (Pagan Death / Black Metal). Later we joined Sharas. We had some satisfactory performances.  In 2003 the band joined Jeronimas and then we became Soul Brothers. At least in 2008 we changed the name to Soul Stealer.  

   Around 2005 I‘ve joined the pagan metal band Obtest. In 2006 brings gothic / doom metal group Degradatonia, in 2009 old school thrash / black metal group Skulvorg.

   Ex. groups and projects: Fata Morgana (hard rock), Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, ABBA, Rammstein projects, Stone's Lament (old school black metal), Anal Anus (lyric grindcore), Death in the draft, played drums in Nirvana tribute project, and many others ...

   Musical education from 1994 Vilnius Bronius Jonušas School of Music - clarinet, saxophone, piano basics. Since 1999. until 2003. private guitar courses. Sharas introduced me to drum bases. In 2004 I joined the Vilnius College of the Arts, the Faculty of popular music dome, specialty guitars. Successful completion of studies, even got a diploma.

   I listen to absolutely everything. Mid frames, because each style can find something useful. The group made the most impact: AC / DC, GUNS'N'ROSES, Judas Priest, KING DIAMOND, DEATH, Cradle of Filth, Tristan, GOD'S TOWER, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Iron Maiden, Type O Negative , ARIA, Eddie Van Halen, Mike Stern, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pat Metheny, etc. ..
